This Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Easter, we will explore several very familiar Scripture verses.
We’ll start with Psalm 23. We have heard this Psalm so many times and heard so many sermons on it that we certainly have it figured out by now. Well, maybe not. We’ll find out on Sunday.
Then there’s John 10:11-18 where Jesus talks to the disciples about how the good shepherd protects his sheep – even to the point of his death. Here, too, perhaps our familiarity prevents us from seeing John’s telling in its depth.
